This page summarizes the ethical principles that guide QuartzBio. It reflects our internal Code of Conduct, which governs our people. We provide it for transparency rather than as legal advice.

Our commitment to ethics and integrity

QuartzBio exists to accelerate drug development through sample and biomarker intelligence. We help our clients organize, understand, and act on the sample and biomarker data generated across their clinical programs, in service of patients who are waiting for new treatments.

How we deliver this work matters as much as what we deliver. We hold ourselves to high ethical standards in everything we do, and we expect each member of our team to act with honesty and integrity. Our internal Code of Conduct sets these expectations for our people in detail; the principles and commitments below summarize the conduct we hold ourselves to and the way we want to do business, both within our own team and with everyone we work alongside.

Our principles

Five principles guide how we work, and they shape every decision we make:

How we work

We translate our principles into clear commitments that apply across our business:

Acting with integrity. We are honest and fair in our dealings, and we compete on the merits of our work. We never let bribery or corruption influence our business, and we offer and accept gifts and entertainment only when they are modest, appropriate, and free of any expectation of improper advantage.

Respect and inclusion. We maintain a respectful and inclusive workplace where everyone can do their best work. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form, and we respect human rights in our operations and our relationships.

Protecting data and confidentiality. We safeguard the client, personal, and confidential data entrusted to us, and we use it only for the purposes for which it was shared. For details on how we handle personal data, please refer to our Privacy Notice.

Accurate records and compliance. We keep honest, accurate, and complete business records. We comply with the laws and regulations that apply to our business, including economic sanctions and trade-compliance requirements.

Working with third parties

Our principles do not stop at our own doors. We expect the vendors, suppliers, and partners we work with to share these principles and to act ethically and lawfully in their dealings with us and on our behalf. We select and oversee third parties with these expectations in mind, and we aim to work with organizations whose conduct reflects the same standards we set for ourselves. Where a third party falls short of these expectations, we address it.

Speaking up and non-retaliation

We encourage anyone, inside or outside QuartzBio, to raise concerns about possible misconduct or breaches of these principles. We take every report seriously and handle it confidentially wherever possible. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
